About the Aircraft
The UH-60J is a search and rescue helicopter operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF). The UH-60J is developed as the successor to S-61 of JMSDF and V-107 of JASDF. Based on the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk, the UH-60J has been producing in Japan under license. The UH-60J entered service in Japan since 1991.
Powered by two T700-IHI-401C turbo-shaft engines, the UH-60J has a high speed of 140 knots and a range of about 1295 km. In addition, the UH-60J features high all-weather capability with the infrared night vision device and a terrain tracking radar. The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force(JGSDF) has been operating as a utility helicopter since 1997. The UH-60Js is widely used in various missions and plays a part in the defense of Japan's national land, territorial sea, and airspace.

This is an unpainted assembly plastic model kit for 1/144 scale that reproduces the UH-60J helicopter operated by the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF).
