¡ÚAbout the Aircraft¡Û

The MiG-21, a masterpiece Soviet fighter aircraft, has been in active service since 1959 and continues to be operated even in the 2000s. The prototype first flew in 1955, and in the following year, it was officially named MiG-21 and referred to as "Fishbed" by NATO. Among the various types that were developed, the MiG-21 bis can be considered the perfect version of the MiG-21. Its maiden flight took place in 1971. It is equipped with a single Tumansky R-25-300 turbojet engine. It has a fixed armament of a 23mm cannon GSh-23L and four hardpoints on the aircraft, allowing for a maximum payload of 1,300kg. During the 1970s and 1980s, it was widely operated as a primary fighter aircraft in many countries.
