About the Aircraft

The F/A-18 Hornet is active as a main fighter not only in the US Navy but also in other countries around the world. The Royal Australian Air Force has been operating the first mass-produced A/B type since 1984. In 2021 the F-35A Lightning II took over the role, and the F/A-18 Hornet was retired. In commemoration of the retirement, the 75th Squadron (75SQ) applied special painting to its F/A-18 Hornet (A21-19). The coloring with the motif of the magpie, which is the mascot mark of the unit, gained popularity among many fans.

About the Kit

This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the F/A-18A Hornet, a fighter of the Royal Australian Air Force.
¡ú The single-seat F/A-18A is modeled.
¡ú Scale in 1/144, it contains a set of TWO F/A-18A Hornet parts made by F-toys.
¡ú The finished size is about 110mm in length.
¡ú Reproduce the sharp shape realistically, and the landing gears and cockpit precisely.
¡ú Marking includes a commemorative livery on No. A21-19 of the 75th Squadron in 2021 for the squadron's transition, and a normal painting on No. A21-36 of the 75th Squadron.
¡ú The unique coloring with the motif of magpie is reproduced with high quality decals made by Italian Cartograf.
