About the Aircraft

The Predator series has been in operation since the 1990s as an unmanned reconnaissance/attack aircraft for the United States Air Force (USAF). The RQ-1, an unarmed reconnaissance type, entered service in 1995 and acquired the ability to attack with Hellfire air-to-ground missiles in 2001. In 2005, it was renamed MQ-1 and has been on duty all over the world. The US Air Force retired the Predator in 2018, replacing it with the MQ-9. The operation of unmanned aircraft has written a new page in the history of aviation.
